Built from 10 containers supplied free of charge, with over 1,200 youth and women empowered there.</p><p>I.O.Me01 runs training on machining, prototyping and digital skills, and hosts incubation for early-stage ventures from the coast region.</p>
<p>The first lab, operating since October 2020, with initial funding and support from the Qatar Red Crescent Society. It sits next to the Lamu Rehabilitation Center, where people in recovery spend time building technical skills.</p><p>Built entirely from repurposed shipping containers, I.O.Me05 brings 3D printing, electronics and carpentry within reach of a community that had never had a fab lab before.</p>
